One cape: 100 days: Day 89: offered without comment after a hard day at the office

Why this blog?

I'm a born-again sewer and handcraft nerd. One of my favourite colleagues told me about the 100 day project (link below) so, inspired by beautiful haute couture embroidery work, I decided to make 100 fabric flowers to sew onto a cape in the style of the Yves St Laurent bougainvillea cape pictured here. Plus, it will make me learn how to use my new embroidery machine.

Part of the project is to record your efforts, so this blog is a record of the making of 100 fabric flowers, one per day for 100 days.
